The Alertness Toolkit – A Motor Carrier’s Guide to Fatigue Management Technologies

During this session, we identified fatigue management technologies and their role in a motor carrier’s safety culture. We reviewed the types of fatigue management technologies. We provided an overview of different technologies and reviewed the considerations for implementing fatigue management technologies, including costs, return on investment, protocols for use, performance measures, training and driver acceptance. We also addressed the fundamental problems with fatigue management technology efficacy.
